Whole life cost analysis helps you choose the cheapest vehicles for your fleet, by analysing the total cost of ownership as opposed to just the monthly lease rentals, revealing significant savings during your transition to electric.

In the example, whole life cost analysis shows you how you can save £78,500.67 per year and £235,502 across a three year contract hire agreement by choosing an electric fleet of 50 Cupra Borns instead of petrol Cupra Leons.

The difference between the whole life costs of the two vehicles is £130.83 per month and equates to £4,710.04 per vehicle across the three year term. Even though the monthly lease payment for the Born is higher, far lower expenditure across other areas including tax rates and charging (versus fuel) costs, results in lower total (whole life) costs.

Finance lease

With a finance lease, monthly payments are calculated slightly differently, and it will show on your business’ balance sheet as an asset while remaining the funder’s property.
